Showing in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark
The answer
Well-attended shows, detailed written critiques and health rules to plan ahead for.
The Nordic system
The national clubs (SKK in Sweden, NKK in Norway, Suomen Kennelliitto in Finland, DKK in Denmark) are FCI members. Judges write a critique for every dog. You will often see BIR (best of breed) and BIM (best of opposite sex), and in Sweden the CK mark, which flags a dog of certificate quality.
Before you go
Norway and Finland require a vet-administered tapeworm (Echinococcus) treatment a few days before entry, recorded in the passport. Norway is not in the EU: check customs rules too. Only Finland uses the euro.
Rules change: always check the current conditions on the national kennel club's and the organiser's websites before entering.
