How do I know if my entry is confirmed?
The answer
You've filled in the form, chosen the class and clicked to pay… but is your dog actually entered?
On SCC Expo (the entry platform of the Société Centrale Canine, the French kennel club), the entry is confirmed once payment has been made and validated. The receipt and your personal account then let you check that the process is complete.
This guide describes how SCC Expo works. If you enter through another platform or by post, follow the organiser's confirmation procedure.
1. Look for the payment receipt
After a successful payment, SCC Expo sends a receipt by email, which the Société Centrale Canine presents as the entry confirmation.
Save it and check that it matches the show in question. Also re-read the details of your entry: dog, date and class.
If you can't find the message, look in your junk mail. No email in your main inbox isn't enough to conclude that the entry failed.
2. Check directly in your account
To find your receipt on SCC Expo:
- Log in to the account you used for the entry.
- Open “Mon compte”.
- Go to “Engagements terminés”.
MyDogShow tip: this section is the most likely place to find your receipts.
If you find nothing there, look in “Engagements en attente” to see whether the process still needs to be completed. For a past show, use “Engagements précédents”.
Example: you added your dog to the basket, then left the site before paying. The entry is unfinished: having saved its details isn't enough.
3. Don't confuse the receipt with the invitation
These two documents arrive at different times:
| Document | When does it arrive on SCC Expo? |
|---|---|
| Payment receipt | After successful payment. |
| Invitation | After entries close, a few days before the show. |
The invitation is also available in “Mon compte”, then “Engagements terminés”. So you can be entered without having received your invitation yet.
There's no need to wait for this document before you start planning the journey and getting your dog's things ready.
4. Still in doubt? Check before paying again
Do you think you've paid but no receipt appears? Does your account show something you don't understand?
Contact support with the useful details:
- the name and date of the show;
- the dog's official name and identification;
- the email address of the account used;
- the date and amount of the attempted payment;
- a transaction reference, if you have one.
Ask for a check before you enter again, to avoid a duplicate entry or payment.
MyDogShow tip: for a payment problem, write to the platform’s support team using the contact given on the website.
5. Do this check before the closing date
An unfinished pre-entry is not taken into account and is not accepted after the closing date on SCC Expo.
The best time to check the confirmation is therefore just after you've paid, while you still have time to sort out any problem.
Beginner — three tips
- Keep the receipt as soon as you get it. Put it in your show folder.
- Check your personal account. It lets you find the documents even if you miss the email.
- Don't mistake a full basket for a completed entry. The payment must be validated.
Intermediate — three tips
- Compare the receipt and the summary. Check that you've entered the right dog at the right event.
- Check several days before the closing date. You'll have some leeway if there's a problem.
- Tell missing documents apart. A missing receipt after payment is worth checking; an invitation that is still to come may be normal.
Advanced — three tips
- Check each entry separately. With several dogs or shows, make sure nothing is left pending.
- Keep your transaction references. They make it easier to investigate if the payment and the file don't match.
- Ask for any outstanding supporting documents to be spelled out. Payment validation doesn't replace the papers required for you to take part.
